Kisha is an entrepreneur and women empowerment leader. She is a certified meeting professional (CMP) with over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry in both sales and event management. She works with her clients to plan and execute their virtual or live events.
Born and raised in Jamaica, West Indies, she was taught by her mother the values of integrity, hard work, kindness and discipline. She is the President and Senior Planner at Events of Joy, an event planning company focused on helping clients produce events that support their company mission.
She is the founder of the Women in Business Summit (WIB Summit). Celebrating its 20th year in 2025, WIB Summit’s mission is to develop a strong community of women entrepreneurs by providing quality programming and resources that inspire and elevate opportunities for equity.
As a past president of the Meeting Professionals International Connecticut River Valley Chapter, she mentored young professionals interested in the event planning field. She was honored to receive the 2019 “Super S.T.A.R.” Award from Sisters Transforming and Rising.
She works with her clients in a collaborative environment to deliver on the vision and goal for the event.

Kentaia is a passionate and driven professional who recently earned her degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from CT State Manchester (formerly Manchester Community College). Her journey with Events of Joy began as an intern, where her dedication and exceptional skills quickly led to her appointment as Events Assistant upon graduation.
As a proud Connecticut native, Kentaia has already made her mark in the events industry, contributing to a diverse range of projects – including elegant galas, joyful receptions, and the renowned Women in Business (WIB) Summit. Her attention to detail, creativity, and unwavering commitment to delivering unforgettable experiences have set her apart in the field.
Her love for event planning blossomed when she planned her own wedding, inspiring her to launch her wedding planning business, Taia IV You. Through her business, she helps engaged couples navigate the wedding planning process with ease, ensuring their big day is as stress-free as it is magical.
As she continues to refine her craft, Kentaia brings her enthusiasm and expertise to every event she touches, embodying the spirit of joy and excellence that defines the Events of Joy team.
